Welcome to HideMyBF. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and HideMyBF (“we,” “us,” “our”) and govern your use of the HideMyBF mobile application and this website. By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use HideMyBF. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
HideMyBF is a personal privacy tool. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and only with content that you own or are authorised to access. You are solely responsible for everything you do with the Service. You must not use HideMyBF to:
You — not HideMyBF — are responsible for ensuring your use of the app complies with the laws that apply to you. We do not monitor and cannot see the content you hide.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use HideMyBF on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or distribute the app except as permitted by law.
HideMyBF offers a free version with core features and an optional paid upgrade (“HideMyBF Pro”) that unlocks additional features such as unlimited AI auto-scanning, automatic call hiding, encrypted Google Drive backup, biometric unlock, and unlimited people. Features included in each plan may change over time.
Paid plans are sold and processed through Google Play Billing. By purchasing, you also agree to Google Play’s terms. The following apply to subscriptions:
Your PIN, password, decoy PIN, and biometric settings are stored only on your device. We never receive or store them and we cannot recover or reset them for you. If you forget your PIN and have not enabled biometric unlock, you may permanently lose access to your hidden content. You are responsible for remembering your credentials and for keeping your device secure.
HideMyBF stores your hidden content locally on your device, encrypted with AES-256. Optional backups go to your own Google Drive, encrypted before they leave your device. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We are not responsible for any loss of data caused by device failure, loss or theft, uninstalling the app, operating-system changes, failed backups, forgotten credentials, or use of the Emergency Wipe feature. The Emergency Wipe feature permanently deletes vault content and cannot be undone.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do and do not collect. Please review it.
The Service relies on third parties including Google Play, Google Play Billing, and Google Drive. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
HideMyBF, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, fully secure, or that it will detect every relevant photo, contact, call, or message. You use the Service at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HideMyBF and its developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, privacy, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you paid nothing, to a nominal amount permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HideMyBF and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
You may stop using the Service and uninstall the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
